Caroline Heitzman
Playing Career:
A native of Newaygo, Michigan, Heitzman played collegiate volleyball at Ferris State University as a middle hitter and two year captain. She was named to the NCAA Division II Midwest Region All-Tournament Team for the second consecutive year in 2015 after recording 385.5 points, 765 total attacks (.305 hitting percentage), 327 kills (3.00 per set), 70 digs and 93 total blocks (18 solo blocks, 75 block assists). Heitzman was also named an American Volleyball Coaches Association Third Team All-American in 2015 while leading the Bulldogs to a 33-3 overall record in 2015 (17-1 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action).
Heitzman helped Ferris State to the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Semifinals for the fifth time in as many seasons, as well as back-to-back GLIAC Championships and GLIAC Tournament Championships during the 2014 and 2015 seasons while posting a 133-30 overall record during her career. She received GLIAC All-Tournament honors in 2014 and 2015 after taking FSU to the GLIAC Tournament Championship.

Coaching Career:
Heitzman was a former club volleyball coach for Insideout Volleyball Club located in Muskegon, Michigan. Under the direction of Rick Ryske and Matt Kozuch, Heitzman coached various age groups and skill levels during her 5 year tenure with the organization. She also assisted in private lessons for players in the area as well as summer volleyball camps across Midwest Michigan.
Currently, Coach Heitzman is in her first year as the graduate assistant volleyball coach at the University of West Alabama. She is getting her masters in Student Affairs in Higher Education.
