CLUB CRIMSON VOLLEYBALL
ABOUT US
Welcome to Club Crimson Volleyball. Our mission for this program is to give young girls an opportunity to continue to develop their volleyball skills in a more competitive environment. We are committed to providing experienced coaches who will be positive role models for our young girls, and will represent Club Crimson in a respectable fashion. We realize the financial commitment that parents make to allow their daughters to play club volleyball. Club Crimson presents an affordable option for players and their families.
Club Crimson strives to enhance the physical, mental and moral development of amateur athletes at all levels. Club Crimson promotes good sportsmanship and good citizenship. We strive to maintain a positive atmosphere while promoting the development of healthy athletic competitors.
Club Crimson is part of USA Volleyball, which is the governing body for volleyball in the United States. USA Volleyball is also responsible for fielding the United States Olympic Team and other national teams that participate in international competitions.
Participation in Club Crimson requires a positive commitment from our coaches, players and parents. Our coaching staff is committed to having the requisite knowledge to teach the fundamentals of the game and to motivate our players to their maximum level of performance. Our coaches are expected to have the patience, and above all, the ability to communicate using positive reinforcement with the players. Our players must be committed to the program as established by the Coaching Staff, to practice and play at all times with a competitive attitude, and at all times maintain good sportsmanship.
The parents of our players must be committed to the program as established by the coaching staff and administration and are expected to maintain a positive attitude towards the program, coaches and players at all times. It is extremely important to the success of our program and the accomplishment of our goals that coaches, players and parents maintain a positive attitude. Much can be accomplished if we believe in and are committed to the same system.
Each player’s level of ability is evaluated by qualified individuals and players are assigned to teams based on such assessments. There are eight to ten players assigned to each team where possible. The top eight to ten players in an age division constitute the first team, the second eight to ten the second team and so on. AHSAA rules will not allow more than three players from the same school program to compete on the same club team. When more than three players from the same school program qualify for the same team, other factors such as position will be used to complete team assignment.
Acceptance into Club Crimson does not provide a guarantee of playing time. It does provide a guarantee of the right to practice with players of equal or better ability, and through hard work the opportunity to improve skill levels. Players are given equal opportunity to compete for playing time. Playing time is earned not awarded.
Players are expected to attend every practice and tournament. If a player cannot attend a practice they should notify their coach at least 24 hours prior to practice start time. If 24 hour advance notice is not possible, they should notify the coach before the start of practice. In addition Club Crimson expects players to be on time to practices and tournaments. Club Crimson supports middle and high school athletics and in doing so, we do not feel it is our place to tell a player they must decide between sports. We do however expect the support of parents to our program. If your child does not have a conflict we expect them to attend practices and tournaments. All players are expected to attend at a minimum 85% of practices and tournaments. Excessive missed practices and/or tournaments will affect their playing time.
